Not only were the spray paints I bought for Zenia incompatible, but they stank like an old munk's dirty underwear, resulting in my filter mask somehow loosing its capability to keep general stinks away from my lungs. For some reason it fumed a whole cloud of spray paint vapor into my nose every time I took a breath through the mask, and of course that meant I could either get brain damage or simply wait until I get to buy a new filter mask. And so last Saturday came when I could visit a huge store filled with tools and construction material, metal objects and other manly thing, also known as a hardware store, I believe. Wondering if buying a more expensive mask with replaceable filters would be cheaper than buying the same disposable filter mask everytime, it turns out it was, therefore I bought one of those things. It even looked like some sort of evil mask from the Star Wars movies, so that was a good thing apart from the fact that the quality of this mask and straps were not really as good as the ones of the disposable mask, so I took the old straps from that one and put them on the new one. Still the rubber is quite a lot stiffer on this new mask, not giving the same nice seal I got to my face with the other one, and worse than everything else is that some damn edges inside the mask are digging into the front of my nose, making it feel like all the cartilage inside of it has fallen apart. But other than that annoying mask, I also bought a nice model kit of the ship Titanic that somehow cost almost nothing. I'm not really interested in that ship because of the movie that was made about it, but I'm more interested in it in a historical sense, seeing as it was an absolutely huge ship that unfortunately hit and iceberg on its maiden voyage and did so the 14th of April 1912, meaning that on my birthday this year in 2012, this event happened 100 years ago, and that's exactly why I wanted to buy this model kit. Maybe I was even one of the people who died during those events in my previous life, depending if one is to believe in previous lives. And now a story about the first time I was glad to have bought socks after my work shoes basically ruined all the socks I had and I stumbled across a pack of what appeared to be super durable work socks, perfect for my need as a person who pretty much build stuff all day, all year without many hours to relax. A long phono to sound jack cable was also bought to convert some of my LP tracks over to MP3. So far I didn't really succeed in that. The Gynoid Zenia is almost almost finally completed with only the arms and a few joint details remaining, so this Saturday was spent on buying more spray paint for the arms and a few hinges and such after realizing the best way to lock Zenia's leg joints would be to screw bolts through hinges inside the body that would also flex when the joints are released. These joint locks seem necessary after Zenia became so damn heavy after putting in all the joints and other stuff that will make her look awesome like a glowing white goddess. And so came the plan into action to buy an iPhone 4S that I had seen in a mall last Saturday, and so far everything seemed to check out with the purchase almost complete until I finally realized that the iPhone the guy in the store picked out for me was the black one since there were no white ones left! That was a damn disappointment, followed by another disappointment that he did not know when or if they would return to the stock or not. Fortunately another store said they would most likely get it in again without knowing when, so one must buy one then. Moving from new technology to old technology, I finally found a nice 1985 Nintendo Entertainment System machine at the used stuff store where I have many times bought LPs. Alas the seller could not find the controls for it, so he told me to return to pay him later when he thought he would have found the controls and cables for it, so I do hope he does. I also got a Super Nintendo Entertainment System some while ago that also has no controls or cables, so I will try to acquire those as well soon. All I want now is a nice old Atari with Pac-Man and Space Invaders. All hail. Just as I wanted to get a much cooler full black and manly sewing case, I found one exactly like this at a store where I also bought some discount shower mounts that will later be used for the Gynoid Almea's head and arm movements. Now I'm just tired and don't know what else to write here.
