Log - 31 December 2011 - The end of the world!

Of course now people are smart enough not to believe the world will end in 2012 just because some ancient Mayan calendar ended at this year, or in any other case resets for some reason, so today the world will of course not end after the time reaches 12. The day up until now was not really any special, just eating some dead pig with the family while waiting for the fireworks to start. Not really many fireworks this year though, but I got some awesome photos of what was sent up anyway. If I may, I would like to yap on about the things I have accomplished this year as I usually write about this every time the year changes to a new one. First of all I finally got to buy my own awesome Unimat machine for metal lathe work, metal gear making, woodwork, and basically everything else you would want to use it for. I bought every last missing movies and TV series I've ever liked on video through play.com where those things are cheap with free shipping and even pre-ordered the Star Wars complete saga Blu-Ray boxset there that I later of course got this year and watched with much joy, even while being sick during the last three movies. Up until then, I had not watched the Star Wars movies for years just for getting the "new movie feeling" when watching them again on Blu-Ray. I changed my website's name from "The Eternal Darkness" to simply "Dark Side Sith Lord" like my URL www.darksidesithlord.com to point more towards the character Darth Vader who will be the center piece of my website eventually, besides I was damn tired of darkness and evil anyway after nearly losing it several times during the beginning of this year, but that soon changed when my old neighbors moved to another house in this same time that coincidentally also had a built-in apartment underneath it that I fortunately later could move into, and so I was not just some nerdy geek living with my parents anymore, instead I was not a nerdy geek with my own robot-filled apartment! Still no RB5X robot in the mail though after probably having been conned by some butthole into buying that robot that probably never even existed in his possession. Other than that, mostly everything needed for my new apartment was bought in, such as a refrigerator, laundry machine, coffee grinder, forks, knives, spoons, a huge TV, shelves here and there, a huge black couch, a cool table, and so on and so forth. Eventually I realized this place was of course that first house I would supposedly move to according to those weird psychic sources I checked out years ago, which was pretty damn accurate right down to the color of the walls and the overall shapes and settings of every room. I decided to build yet another red and black Gynoid statue named Roxena that was later finished in the basement of the local stone museum after being allowed to work on both her and Zenia down there. Later when my old room was basically empty, I decided to move Zenia up there since it would be easier to finish her there instead of walking down to that museum all the time where I could not spend as much time with the project as I would want to. Up until now I have been working a lot to finish Zenia, but did not get to finish her this year, although she is nearly nearly finished already and won't take too long to finish past the start of 2012. I bought a nice new huge high-end office chair for my computer desk, a crawly little caterpillar robot, and all the Studio Ghibli movies in the English dubbed versions at nearly the same time. After realizing it would be nearly impossible to photograph a "Little Sister" from the video game series "BioShock" to edit into the photos of my Subject Delta costume from this same game series, I thought it would be a good idea to buy a child mannequin to turn into a real life-size "Little Sister" statue instead since I was already going to make a small, simple tape and paper mannequin for the inside of a Jawa display costume from the Star Wars movies and could use the "Little Sister" statue inside the Jawa display costume instead since both these characters are very small and have big glowing yellow eyes, so that was pretty darn perfect for both these purposes, and the end result turned out pretty damn realistic looking and creepy like it's supposed to be. Having bought the special edition boxset of the video game BioShock 2, I was now in the possession of an old style LP record for further retro feeling related to the gameplay, so later I decided to bring down the old record player from my previous home's attic to test it out. A small stack of LP's were also found up there and brought over to this place. The player didn't really work well, but I got to listen to at least some of the music which I thought was pretty damn good, seeing as I like old 1970's and 1980's music and all, so I went fully into trying to fix up the player by gluing and screwing and cleaning and spackling, even replacing the stylus needle that was basically completely flat instead of pointed. Realizing how many good songs there were on these LP's that I had never even heard before, I soon became one of those weird people who shuffle through LP record boxes at markets and used stuff stores to find lots and lots of awesome music you would not hear anywhere else for a dirt cheap cost. Although I didn't get to annoy the Technical Museum enough this year to make them sell the Modulus robot they absolutely do not need, I still got to buy a whole bunch of new and unused Modulus robots and parts in their original boxes with brochures and manuals and whatnot, though it did not include the full humanoid version called Moddy that is still my favorite robot, still I did finally find some new things on the Internet about Moddy after setting Google to search only for Italian pages, and shortly after I found two people who both in fact owned Moddy robots. Still this excitement didn't last very long after the first guy never replied me and the other guy decided not to sell it to me, but at least I've learned that finding a Moddy robot in Italy is not purely impossible as it is to find one here in Norway or anywhere else. Still I would prefer that beat up and worn out Moddy robot from the Technical Museum after realizing that one is most likely the one they displayed in the window of the store that sold them, meaning that that one is in fact the very first Moddy robot and robot in general that I ever saw in my life as a child. Still those anus sphincters wish to keep it stored in their basement after claiming it is important to keep it there because of a "cultural history", which is of course all bullshit after all the other lies and bullshit they have served me ever since the first time I asked to buy that robot, so I wish nothing well for any of those people. They can all suck my ridges! As for other awesome Italian things, I wanted to buy a simple scooter to ride around on since I do not own a car driver's licence yet and my old moped looks like a black banana on two wheels, but it turns out the scooter I was about to buy was just a piece of crap, so I did not know where else to get a cheap scooter anymore. Later a trip was taken to a place called The Scooter Central where I thought I probably wouldn't buy one since they only had expensive Vespas and other such scooters, but then I saw just the most awesome big and red shiny Vespa with a custom leather seat and other tricked out custom features and really wanted that thing right away. Originally I didn't even want to spend much money on a scooter, but realizing I could actually afford an awesome new Vespa like I've always wanted, I paid so much more to get it, and I haven't even regretted having spent so much money on such a nice red Vespa, though things don't always have a good story connected to them when my Vespa was caught up in an annoying accident that ended up sending it to repairs. Later it got more or less fixed up again, and I got to take two nice long trips from here to Oslo anyway. Later I got really sick though and didn't even have the energy to cover the leather seat of my Vespa, resulting in it getting black mold stains from water damage. I still didn't get to do anything about that and am not even sure anymore what it looks like. Because the first Gynoid I built named Cyrah didn't look like much anymore next to the other Gynoids, I decided to re-design her face a bit and give her a complete overhauling with fresh new sparkly shiny silver spray paint, chrome stripes, green highlights, and many other new features to make her look just as good as the other Gynoids, even changing her overall body posture to make her look more natural, so now the new Cyrah looks much better and has a more defined green color scheme. I got to wear my Anakin Skywalker costume at a completely awesome convention called Desucon and even got to go up on stage with the rest of the Nordic Garrison and got much applause and good comments. I even got about 500 hugs at this convention, which was awesome. Ironically and most fortunate was that two other members of the Nordic Garrison dressed up as both Anakin's master Obi-Wan Kenobi and his wife Padmé Amidala, so I got to take some pretty cool photos with them to later add to my website, though I have strangely enough not even received them yet. Damn tragic was the fact that only a few weeks later, a terrorist bomb exploded very nearby the place where Desucon was arranged, so I was lucky not to have been there. Still there were almost 80 people that were not so lucky when this same evil terrorist took a boat over to an island camp where he shot and killed everyone he could. Shortly after this evil thing had happened, thousands of people placed roses all over the streets of Oslo, filling up a huge area as big as a swimming pool of nothing but flowers, and there were even more flowers other places too. I got to witness all these flowers myself on a trip to oslo near the time they would remove the flowers. Still it's nice that they will turn all these flowers into soil for some sort of memorial or whatever they had planned about this incident. Shortly after I went on a trip to Sweden where there were even more flowers and Norwegian flags placed everywhere because of what happened. I also bought the last of the WowWee robot creatures that I wanted to get in the form of the Roboreptile. I never really got to even test this robot this year though, only having bought batteries for it and placing it on a shelf, but I hope to get to film it soon the first time I turn on it's power. Having already made four robotic women in different styles and colors, I thought about maybe making a final fifth Gynoid in gold and orange colors since I had so many unused gold items left from my other Gynoid projects. Always having wanted to sculpt Lara Croft's face since I think she looks interesting and pretty, I thought maybe this would be the perfect opportunity to make this face on a final Gynoid, and ironically I found an Internet auction later saying that a store-line was selling away all their mannequins for some reason to the dirt-cheap price of 400 NOK. At this store I had the choice between two types of mannequins in two different colors, one being Asian and the other being Caucasian, so I didn't really know which one to choose, then I suddenly realized how much the Caucasian mannequin already looked like Lara Croft and decided to buy that one. I didn't even get to start working on this Gynoid named Almea this year as I've been too busy only working on Zenia so far. Though I'm just some weird guy building female shaped robot statues, I still get the time to interact with some of those actual women out there, one of these being my first ex-girlfriend from almost 10 years ago, and dang that was an interesting experience having her over at my apartment. Though we had not really planned for anything, I just got back those feelings I had for her all those years ago and soon after kissed her. She didn't mind but didn't really know if she wanted to get involved like that, but the day after we were into it like two cats. Oslo was a place I had previously never liked at all and just felt nervous and uneasy each time I was there, but this all changed too when going for a nice trip there with my ex-girlfriend, and we had a great time while doing so, having seen most of the neat stuff there is to see there. We also took trips to other places and even walked around this place a few times. Unfortunately I became sick again later and quite irritable and annoyed at everything, so I said a few things to her that made us argue and stop speaking to eachother for some while. Though we talk again now, her plan to come back here no longer lasted. Right now I'm not sure what I feel about her, though she is one of those girls who I'll always love anyway. When Halloween was right around the corner, I wanted to finally finish a blue leather jacket inspired by Michael Jackson's red leather jacket from the music video "Thriller" and just about got to finish it for Halloween after having bought the rest of the leather needed for it in the shape of an old chair that I got to buy for only 50 NOK. The lower mine had caved in before this years Halloween event in the local mines, so the whole route was pretty boring this year, making people have to enter the upper mine, walk down the stairs and around some tunnels there, walk up the stairs again and enter the final room to get candy and things to drink, then walk back out again through the same tunnel. I just stood there next to the stairs, not really saying anything because of my veneers giving me a weird speech, then a TV crew came by and filmed me for a while. Coming home after that, I got to see myself on TV too, so that was the second time I've been on TV wearing a costume. Later I got some photos of the costume taken in the forest nearby before getting into my regular clothes again. Some of the last things I did this year was to buy diamond shaped crystals for each of the Gynoids in their unique colors, though I have no idea what these crystals will be for in the story I will make for them, but I'm somewhat sure it's important. Later I bought a cheap Cleopatra costume to use as Almea's clothes since golden costumes are far easier to find and cheaper to buy than just a cut piece from a rool of fabric, plus such costumes also consist of various different gold colored fabrics with prints and other nice effects on them. Later a very bad Christmas came for me when I got some money and socks. After that again was New Years Eve and the happenings described in the beginning of this log. That's all for this year, but I'm sure I did many more things than what I posted here and will get to do even more things this next year, unless the world explodes, that is...
